Fighting and Dancing
There are two skills which every human being should be duty-bound and obligated to practice, to include both men and women equally. These are fighting and dancing. Fighting must include, crucially, both interpersonal melee combat—that is, boxing, grappling, and other martial arts—and the use of whatever is the present state of the art of warfighting weaponry—today’s being the pistol and carbine. Dancing must include, just as crucially, partner dancing—what we call “ballroom” dancing.
Do I need to explain why these are the two and only two universally crucial skills, or can you figure it out on your own? In any case, every member of society should be required to become at least conversant in these two skills before he or she be permitted to undertake any other elective hobby, and to continue to develop them alongside any other elective hobby.
